Avatar Ignite Overview
The Avatar Program is a ground-breaking energy industry-wide innovation and entrepreneurship program designed to empower emerging leaders in the future of energy and build new decarbonization technologies for commercialization. The 5th iteration of the Avatar Program, Avatar 2025 will feature sessions with global business leaders, an energy transition and entrepreneurship curriculum and allow you to work with an industry team building an energy transition solution for potential investment.

The Avatar Program starts with Avatar Ignite which will begin 31 January 2025. Through the 15-week process, you will explore the most up to date information on energy transition technologies and market dynamics while building your skills and competencies as an energy leader of the future. Your team will work through the process and pitch your energy transition solution to an industry Shark Tank panel of the most senior executives. The best of those projects will be selected to enter the Avatar Studio program where your solution will start to emerge as a fundable business.

On your Avatar team, you will have the chance to work on a Technology Application Stream where you can put your skills and learnings to work and will be assigned an industry coach to guide you through the journey.

At a minimum, the planned Technology Streams (focuses) for 2025 will include:
- Methane Emissions Reduction
- Grid & Power System Resilience
- Sustainable Fuels
- Hydrogen
- Carbon Dioxide Removal & Direct Air Capture
- Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Logistics
- Sub-Surface Advancements

2025 Avatar Ignite Program Dates
The Program content will be presented through hybrid workshop sessions. The goal of the sessions is to inspire you as a participant, build critical leadership competencies for the future, and to provide you with the necessary knowledge, skills and techniques to present within your stream to the Avatar Program ‘Shark Tank’.

The sessions will be held, mostly, on Friday afternoons, commencing on 31 January 2025. The following topics will be covered:

Program Cost
Thank you for your application. Based on our review, we understand that you are applying as an independent applicant. If this is not the case, please contact us at ignite@avatarinnovations.energy.

Should you be successfully admitted into the Ignite Program, there is an enrollment fee of $5,000 CAD, plus applicable taxes.

To secure your spot in the program, we kindly request a 10% deposit. This deposit will be fully refunded if you are not accepted.

The remaining balance of $4,500 CAD will be due upon acceptance. An invoice will be provided for payment via EFT or credit card.

The next phase of the application, after the deposit, will take approximately 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
If we are able to establish a scholarship with your indicated membership organization, you will be refunded in full.
