Now, we will check whether the type of cursus that you have followed makes you eligible to EGEI.
Please remind that EGEI is a Master in Economics. It does not imply that we enroll students with a Bachelor in Economics only. Other students are welcome, provided they had enough courses in economic analysis and methods for being able to follow our courses.
We assess this requirement using two main conditions, that are compulsory for being eligible.
The first condition is that you must have followed at least one course in:
- Microeconomics
- Macroeconomics
- Econometrics or similar (ex. advanced statistics or quantitative methods)
The second condition is that the total volume or the courses you followed in economic analysis and methods must be one semester at least.
By courses in economic analysis and methods we mean courses developping economic concepts, economic methods, and tools that are used by economists. For example:
- A course on economic geography or on spatial economics is a course in economic analysis, a course on the economy of your country is not a course in economic analysis
- A course on industrial economics or on the economics of regulation is a course in economics analysis, a course on the industrial structure of your country or on the rules prevailing in the industry of your country is not a course in economic analysis
