  • Please read over this form carefully before sending a deposit, so that there is no confusion or issues that may arise later. We have these policies in place to ensure your protection on the sale of the bunny of your choice, as well as to ensure the completed sale of said bunny.

    Garden Burrow Rabbitry Sales Agreement

    Our rabbits do not leave our rabbitry until they are at least 8-12 weeks old.
    All rabbits, to the best of GBR's knowledge, are healthy and free of illness at the time of sale. Updates and health check videos are sent to the buyer before pickup. Once a rabbit leaves our care, GBR is no longer responsible for them.

    While we do check genders multiple times at various ages before pick-up, we cannot give a 100% guarantee on genders or fertility for rabbits under the age of 6 months old.

    We cannot give a guarantee on temperament as change of environment, stress etc can affect a rabbit's temperament in their new home. We highly recommend doing research on how to handle your new rabbit, especially the first 24 hours, and on how to bond with them. We do have articles and resources we can send to you if you'd like more info.

    We do not guarantee show quality or that the rabbit of your choice will make show placements. We will take photos and videos for you to the best of our ability. Rabbits take time to develop and the younger they are the more difficult it will be to evaluate them. The decision is up to the buyer in the end.

    Rabbits purchased as pets will come with a birth certificate, not a full pedigree. Pedigrees will be sent with rabbits going to breeders or those who intend to show (ARBA, HLRSC, FFA 4-H etc).
    Buyers must be 18 or older to purchase. For youth breeders, you must have your parents' consent before purchasing.

    In order to place a rabbit on hold, a deposit and signed sales agreement are required. When you choose a bunny and send a deposit, we are holding that bunny for you and in doing so passing up other potential sales. The deposit is 50% of the total. Once the deposit is paid, it will be deducted from the total amount and the remaining portion will be owed at pickup.

    All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable! Deposits and signed sales agreements must be sent within 24 hours of a verbal/written agreement, otherwise the rabbit will not be held for you.
    If anything happens to the rabbit before pick-up while still in my possession, you will receive a full refund on the rabbit or a credit if preferred.
    All deposits must be made via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo or CashApp unless otherwise agreed upon by Garden Burrow Rabbitry. For PayPal payments, select the friends and family payment option, otherwise the small fee paypal takes out will be added to your remaining balance. The final payment/remaining balance is due at pick-up. For those using transport, the final payment/remaining balance is due 2 days before I am scheduled to meet the transport, unless otherwise discussed.
    We reserve the right to cancel the sale at any time.

    We do not accept returns. Once a rabbit leaves, we do not give refunds. We also do not accept "surrenders" back into our rabbitry. Typically once a rabbit leaves our rabbitry, their spot in our herd is already filled.
    Now, depending on the rabbit, it is possible that we would be interested in buying back intact rabbits we have sold, but that is not a guarantee. We will not buy them back for more than we sold them for unless they have gained show placements/achievements. This does not apply to rabbits sold as pets/rabbits who have been altered.

     We are a closed rabbitry, so for the health and safety of our rabbits, we do not allow visitors. We meet in a safe, public location that is local to our rabbitry location (15-30 min out, unless otherwise agreed upon). We do not offer delivery services nor shipping services. We will work with reputable rabbit transport services. It is up to the buyer to contact transport and pay any transport fees required.

    For those using transport: By choosing to use a transport you are accepting any and all potential risk involved. If something should happen to the rabbit(s) before transport, you will receive a refund on the rabbit(s) only or a credit if preferred. I will not be responsible for any sort of transport refund. Once I drop off the rabbit(s) with the transport, their care is no longer in my hands. If anything should happen to the rabbit(s) while on transport, there will be no refunds given on the rabbit(s), nor will I be responsible for any sort of transport refund.

    Once the deposit is sent and the sales agreement is signed, the buyer has 2 weeks to complete pickup. If this time frame will not work, communication must take place from the buyer. In that case, a boarding fee of $5 per day that the rabbit stays past the 2 week mark will be added to the remaining balance. This is to cover food, care and cage space. Those using transport have a longer grace period. If the rabbit(s) are not picked up within the month of agreement or the following month

    Once a date, time and place have been agreed upon for the exchange and final payment, the appointment must be kept unless an urgent matter should come up. Correspondence must take place with Garden Burrow in that scenario. This is to ensure the value of your time as well as mine. No shows are an assumption that you have changed your mind and are therefore considered an automatic forfeit of the sale. Multiple cancellations and failure to communicate are also considered a forfeit of sale.

    By signing below, you are stating that you have read and agree to the above sales agreement. You also acknowledge that upon purchase, to the best of Garden Burrow Rabbitry's and your knowledge, the rabbit has no health issues or defects and you are now assuming sole responsibility for the rabbit's care.
