headspace Caloundra's Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is currently at capacity. It is amazing to see how many young people are interested in sharing their voice and helping to shape our centre. Here are some examples of the opportunities with being involved in YAC. Let us know what might interest you:
Hosting headspace promotion stalls in the community
Organising events e.g. Youth & Mental Health Week, NAIDOC, Pride Month
Sitting on interview panels to help recruit headspace staff
Running fun and creative activities for young people who are on the waitlist for mental health support
Marketing and Social Media compaigns
Public speaking opportunities in schools and community events
Give feedback on the service to make it feel youth-friendly e.g. changing the language on forms and waiting room projects
Apply to attend headspace National Conference as a youth representative
