  • ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

    We have all been touched on a personal level by mental illness. Whether directly experienced or witnessed, the challenges of our pervasive mental health crisis can be overwhelming and devastating. We can do better. She Soars Psychiatry, LLC believes that a community’s mental health ought to be acollective effort shared by healthcare, academic institutions, workplaces, places of worship, athletics, community organizations, and among families.

    Stamping out stigma demands that we make more of an effort to normalize mental health challenges. Providing pathways to more accessible and affordable mental health services in addition to allowing safe spaces to share struggles are critical steps. The purpose of these scholarships is to recognize graduating high school seniors who share the vision of stamping out stigma and improving mental health outcomes for future generations.


    She Soars Psychiatry, LLC has set aside a sum of money to be used annually for an educational scholarship for graduating high school seniors in the cities where offices our based (Silverton & Sisters, Oregon). Applicants must have an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, social work, or education and demanostre a desire  to improve mental health outcomes for future generations.

    To apply, a student must certify that they are:

    • A graduating senior attending Silverton or Sisters High School who has been accepted to attend or intends to enroll at an accredited college, university, or trade school in the Fall of 2026.
    • Applicants must have an interest in pursuing a career pathway in healthcare, education, social work, or psychology and demonstrate a desire to improve mental health oucomes for future generations.
    • The selection criteria is based on educational achievement, community involvement, essay responses, formal recommendations, and career goals. Financial need is not a consideration. Official transcripts are not required.

    Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, supplies and room and board expenses. Payment will be made directly to the educational institution in the name of the recipient upon verification of registration. If documentation is not provided to She Soars Psychiatry, LLC by September 1st, 2026 the scholarship will be rescinded.


    Recipients will be selected by a five-person committee of locally appointed mental health & education-based professionals. Applications shall be modified to remove names, so a “blind” selection process can be made without influence of candidate names. All decisions by the committee, including any decisions regarding the qualifications of applicants and selection procedures, will be fina

    Two scholarships will be rewarded to the class of 2026. One scholarship to a graduating student of Sisters High School and one scholarship to a graduating student of Silverton High School. The award amount of each scholarship is $2,500.00. 

    Applications are due APRIL 15, 2026 @ 11:59PM PST. No exceptions will be made for applications received after this deadline.

This form is to be emailed from the school personnel directly to She Soars Psychiatry, LLC (not returned to student). Additional letters of recommendation are welcome (but not required) and may be uploaded below or emailed.
