WHAT IS ASI?
Adventist-Laymen's Services Industries (ASI) is an organization of Seventh-day Adventist Church members who work in the private sector in business and professional vocations. The uniqueness of the organization is twofold: First, we recognize that our time, talents, treasures, and body temple belong to God and that we are stewards of these possessions. Accordingly, we believe that our vocations can and should be a ministry to aid in the advancement of the great gospel commission (Luke 19: 13 Testimonies Vol 4, p. 469). Second, we are committed to supporting the Seventh-day Adventist Church and its various outreach programs including health, education, evangelism, community services, family concerns, and special projects. ASI members include men and women from all walks of life. Our motto is "Sharing Christ in the Marketplace".
OBJECTIVES
1. To provide a forum for spiritual nurture, empowering members to model Christ in their business and professional life. 2. To affirm the gifts of Adventist professionals and business persons and provide for their professional growth by organizing relevant seminars, lectures, and workshops. 3. To allow Adventist business and professional persons to network with each other formally and informally facilitating mutual support, advertisement of products, and commercial growth. 4. To enable members of the Association to focus on the Mission Church, utilizing their spiritual, human and financial resources, individually and collectively, for the proclamation of the Gospel as they minister in the marketplace.5. To encourage business and professional persons to conduct their activities in full harmony with the standards and objectives of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and maintain harmonious relationships with the Church and its leadership.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in ASI is available to any Seventh-day Adventist Church member in good standing who operates a business, provides a professional service, or operates a supporting ministry, and whose business has been in operation for at least six months. These are different categories of membership.
Annual Membership Fees - (NB: Payment should be made to your local ASI Chapter.) Select one:

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERSHIP: with 2-9 employees - USD 48.00 or With 10 or more employees - USD$ 54.00- is available to any organization (with at least two full-time workers which may include the owner or applicant) owned and controlled by an SDA layperson, who does not receive any salary from any SDA denominational organization. Continued membership is contingent upon the current owner/CEO conducting the business in harmony with SDA principles, and personally remaining in good and regular standing within the SDA Church. Membership shall be in the name of the organization.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP - USD 36.00 - is available to any SDA professional or one who serves in a managerial level of responsibility, other than a denominational employee, and who shares in the goals and purposes of ASI.
PERSONAL MEMBERSHIP - USD 36.00 - is available to any SDA owner or CEO of an organization which formerly held membership in ASI for five years or more and sells the business or leaves that organization.
APPOINTED MEMBERSHIP (No Dues Required) - is that held by an individual who has been approved by the Division, Union, Conference, or Mission Executive Committee to serve as Secretary/Treasurer or Board member
