  • How does Europe sound to you?

    The #Sounding:Europe Award looks for your impression / expression of how "Europe" does sound, does feel to you:

    Be it noise, sweet music, a song with lyrics or without, rhythmic or off-beat, be it Beethoven or Pauline Oliveros, be it techno or indie - something that feels united, separated, diverse, claustrophobic, Eastern, Western, full of questions, full of ideas, ? The #Sounding:EUROPE Award is part of the independent, artistic, collaborative SIRIUS4all project (www.sirius4all.eu) dealing with a next narrative for Europe.

    The award will be handed over at the SIRIUS4all event on May 8 and 9, 2025 in Berlin.

    3 first prizes with 500€ each and 7 honorary mentions with 100€ each will be awarded providing public exposure, networking, exchange.

    Eligibility for contributing: You live / are situated in Berlin being of whatever nationality IIII You are younger than 30 years of age.

  • Conditions of Participation:

    By submitting I acknowledge and I agree to the following conditions of participation in the "#Sounding:EUROPE Open Call 2024/25 (please tick box below):

    - I am under the age of 30.

    - I am the owner of the submitted work and the submitted work must be of the artists own origin/creation. The artist must own all intellectual and moral property rights If the works of art submitted are being represented by any institution or other right holder, they have to agree

    - Applicants must upload their information and artwork no later than midnight CET on January 15th, 2025.

    - The award will be decided solely by the jury and the decision is non-negotiable.

    - By participating in this open call, the artists agree to be contacted at any time prior to and during the event in case of need.

    - By participating and submitting an artwork, the artist agrees to accept the decision of the jury.

    SIRIUS4all cannot accept applications without proper submission after the deadline.

    The deadline for submission is January 15, 2025, midnight CET.

    Relatives of jury members are not eligible to apply.

    The awardees will be notified via mail or telephone. The nominees will be announced no later than April 2nd, 2025.

    Awardees are expected to participate in the 2-days meeting on May 8th and 9th, 2025. Failure to do so without a proper reason will result in the withdrawal of the award.
