The scheme provides seed funding for new initiatives in Tallaght University Hospital that improve the patient experience. The focus of the 2024 scheme is on innovation in areas such as:
- Patient comfort
- Staff experience
- Efficiencies in services for patients
- New technologies
There is a fund of €100,000 available. There are three funding categories - up to €5k, €5k-10k or €10k - €20k can be applied for across all hospital departments. The scheme is targeted to clinical staff for projects with a focus on patient care/outcomes.
CRITERIA
The application should include a full description of the proposed initiative demonstrating under the following headings:
- Service development – how the project will improve services for patients directly or indirectly
- Evaluation – how the project will be evaluated in relation to quality, effectiveness and efficiency
- Cost benefit analysis – how the project's present costs will lead to benefits in the future. The application should set out the costs of the project (including VAT if applicable) and state the grant amount being sought.
- Timeline - Indicate when the project would be ready to commence and timescale to completion
- Strategic alignment - how the project aligns to both Adelaide strategy AHF Strategy Overview and TUH-Strategy-Jan-2020.pdf
- Feasibilty or ease of implementation - identification and mitigation of barriers to implementation of the project

- If submitting a project which requires IT support, the associated IT Mandate is completed ,submitted and approved by IT Department.
- Applicants must supply proof of EMT approval with their application.
- Application should include the name and contact details of Lead Project Manager who will undertake operational responsibility for the implementation of the Project.
- A report to be provided to the Adelaide Health Foundation on request

Applications will be assessed by a panel from AHF/Innovate Health and are subject to TUH Executive Management Team [EMT] and AHF Board approval
