NAGC is currently accepting proposals for the following types of books:
- NAGC Essentials Series: This series of short titles align with the NAGC Pre-K-Grade 12 Programming Standards and provide a quick overview of essential knowledge for gifted education practitioners.
- LEAP Education Guidebook & Online Modules: These short guidebooks provide an overview of a topic with accompanying in-depth 30-hour learning modules, published by NAGC.
- NAGC Service Publication: These books are created as a service to NAGC. You will work directly with NAGC on preparing your book for publication by another publisher.
- NAGC Copublication: These books are copublished with NAGC and an author. Although NAGC may review your proposal, you'll ultimately work with a publisher on your book. It can be beneficial to request a copublication with NAGC after you've been accepted by a publisher.
NAGC requires that authors submit an original work -- conceived, developed, and written by you as the author. To enhance the creative process and streamline certain tasks, authors may utilize AI tools sparingly and ethically. These tools maybe employed as assistants for brainstorming ideas, refining language, and conducting research, ensuring they support rather than replace the author's creative judgment.
NAGC is not accepting proposals for children's books, memoirs, or fiction.
