• If you register before Monday Oct 21, you only need your birth date and the last 4 digits of your social security number or a driver’s license to register plus Voter ID to vote.
• After Oct 21, you will need to bring additional proof of residency documents.

• Register online with a MI driver’s license or state ID through Monday, Oct 21.
• After October 21, register in person during Early Voting or on Election Day with additional proof of residency documents.
• Note: Registering to vote online will update your driver’s license address to your school address.

• View the Sample Registration Form as you fill yours out.
• If you mail a paper form, it must be postmarked by Oct 21.
• You only need to know your birth date and social security number to register to vote.
• Use your dorm’s mailing address as your "Residential Address" for voter registration with your room or house number filled as the Apt./Lot No.

• Financial aid or college documents - this includes showing a screenshot of any any document on your student portal that includes your name and school address to prove enrollment

• A utility bill
• Insurance documents (health, car, home, etc.)
• A bank or credit card statement

• Student ID from accredited high school or higher education institution

• ID such as driver’s license issued by a different state or the US government (current)

• You may register and vote in the same visit at any Detroit early voting site.
• Bring Wayne State College ID for Voter ID.
• After Oct 21, bring a proof of residency document. If you live in a dorm, this can be a screenshot on a smart phone from your student portal showing your name and college housing assignment or financial aid information to prove enrollment.

• Use dark ink to fill your ballot.
• Depending on the date you will either place your ballot in the tabulator or hand it in to the elections official.
• If returning to an elections official, place your voted ballot in the secrecy sleeve and the secrecy sleeve in the return envelope.
• Do not forget to sign and date the back of the envelope and seal the envelope or place it in the return envelope.

• To both register and vote on Election Day, go to:

• On Election Day the polling sites are open for registration and voting until 8:00 pm.
• Bring the Voter ID and Proof of Residency needed.

• Confirm you are registered to vote before Tuesday Nov 5, 2024.
• Look up your polling location.
• Bring your Student ID as Voter ID.
• Vote Early in the Day: The polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm.
• If you are in line when the polls close, stay in line. Anyone in line must be allowed to vote by law.

1. You have the right to vote from study abroad or out of state location in every election.
2. Visit Vote from Abroad to vote from abroad or overseas and have your vote count in North Carolina. Don't hesitate to use the chat icon at the bottom of their page for live help.
3. Active-duty military and military families stationed anywhere in the US or abroad should visit FVAP.GOV to get your military ballot.

• Use dark ink to fill your ballot.
• Place voted ballot in the secrecy sleeve and the secrecy sleeve in the return envelope.
• Do not forget to sign and date the back of the envelope and seal the envelope.
• Mail your ballot no later than Tuesday Oct 22 to give it time to arrive by Tuesday Nov 5, 2024.

• Other ways to return an absentee ballot include:
  
  • Hand-delivering the ballot to your clerk’s office or their secure drop box.
  • Bring your absentee ballot to your early voting site or election day polling place to place into a tabulator yourself. If you decide to do so, bring your ballot in the envelope provided by the clerk, and election inspectors will assist you in tabulating your ballot.
