What is the 2025 World of Dance event?
World of Dance Paris 2025 is a qualifying event where the best of the best in dance and choreography from around the globe come together to express their creativity and to be seen by the masses while competing on a world-class stage—It’s an experience that could take your dance journey to the next level!
The Winners and all participating dance groups can compete at the prestigious World of Dance Summit 2025, making the World Finals accessible to all. World of Dance Paris 2025 features various divisions, including:
- Team Division (18+)
- Junior Team Division (Under 18)
- Showcase performances for those not competing (Junior and Team)
- Upper Showcase for those not competing (small groups of dancers 18+)
- All Styles Battle 1v1
No matter your team size, World of Dance Paris 2025 is your chance to show your talent and express your creativity in front of a global audience.
What are the age and team size requirements?
- Junior Team Division: Dancers under 18, with a minimum of 5 members.
- Team Division: Dancers 18 and older, with a minimum of 5 members.
- Junior Showcase: Solo, duo, trio, or quad performances. All members must be under 18.
- Team Showcase: Mixed ages, with a minimum of 5 dancers.
- Upper Showcase: Solo, duo, trio, or quad performances, ages 18+.
- All Styles Battle 1v1: Open to all ages.
What are the registration fees?
- Team Division, Junior Team Division, Showcases (Team and Junior), Upper Showcase: €50 per member, per routine.
One complimentary wristband is provided for the team leader in the Team Division and Junior Team Division. Registration and payment are due by January 23, 2025. Don’t wait—register your Team and booked the ideal time for your live performance now! First come, first served!

How do I submit an audition video?
You must submit a video of your team’s most recent performance or rehearsal that shows off your best moves. This is your chance to impress! After submitting your video via the Registration Form, you’ll receive either an acceptance or waitlist status via email within 48 hours. The sooner you submit, the better your chances of securing a spot.
How are teams judged?
Each team will be judged on the following categories, with each accounting for 20% of the score:
- Performance: Energy, stage presence, and showmanship.
- Technique: Cleanliness, synchronization, and musicality.
- Choreography: Originality, concept, and variety.
- Creativity: Music selection, transitions, and stage use.
- Presentation: Costumes, makeup, and attitude.
Deductions can be made for unapproved props and profanity in routines, so be sure to check all guidelines!
What’s the prize for winning?
- Team Division: A $1000 will be awarded to the 1st place team in the Team Division and $1,000 World Finals registration credit.
- Junior Team Division: A $500 will be awarded to the 1st place team in the Junior Team Division and $1,000 World Finals registration credit.
- Special Awards: Best Theme, Best Costume, and Crowd Favorite.
All teams of 5 or more members are eligible to compete at the World Finals, regardless of placement. 1st place winners can earn $1,000 registration credit multiple times at different qualifying events.
What’s the competition format for the World Finals?
At the World of Dance Summit 2025, teams compete in 4 rounds:
Opening Round
Challenger Round
Championship Round
World Finals Round
Your performance at the 2025 World of Dance Paris qualifier determines which round you’ll start at.
What if my team competes in a World of Dance qualifier event outside of our home country?
Even if your team competes in World of Dance Paris 2025, at the World Finals, your team will still represent your country or the country where most of your members are from.
Can my team win multiple qualifiers and still represent our home country?
Yes! Absolutely! Your team can compete and win in as many World of Dance qualifier events as you’d like. At the World Finals, you will still represent your home country, but the multiple qualifiers you’ve won throughout the season will be listed in your bio.
What is the maximum performance length for teams in the Junior Team Division and Team Division?
For teams competing in the Junior Team Division and Team Division, the performance/soundtrack should not exceed 6 minutes in length.
What is the maximum performance length for the Team Showcase?
Similar to the competitive team divisions, the performances/soundtrack for Team Showcase should also not exceed 6 minutes.
What is the maximum performance length for solo, duo, trio, and quad showcase performances?
For Showcase performances (solo, duo, trio, and quad), the performance/music length should not exceed 2 minutes.
What are the stage dimensions for the 2025 World of Dance Paris event?
The stage dimensions are 10 meters by 13 meters, which provides ample space for both large group performances and smaller showcase acts.
Will we receive any additional information about our performance?
Yes! Each group’s primary contact will receive a performer’s packet. This packet will contain important details like your check-in time, the show line-up, an example score sheet, and other essential event information.
When will we receive the performer’s packet?
The performer’s packet will be sent to the primary contact for each group prior to the event. Keep an eye on your email, as it contains vital information for event day.
What if we need more time for our performance?
Unfortunately, the time limits are strictly enforced. Performances exceeding the 6-minute limit for teams may face deductions from your overall score.
What should we expect in the example score sheet?
The example score sheet provided in your packet will give you an idea of how your performance will be judged. It outlines the criteria and point distribution so you can better prepare your routine.
Can we rehearse on the main stage before the event?
Tech rehearsals are not permitted on the main stage. Please use the information in the performer’s packet to prepare accordingly.
Can I use props during my performance?
Yes, but all props must be pre-approved. You’ll need to email photos of your props to the event manager before the event. Any unapproved props will not be allowed on stage. Plan ahead!
Is there a rehearsal on the main stage?
No, tech rehearsals on the main stage are not permitted. Make sure to come prepared and ready to wow the judges and audience without a practice run.
What if my Junior Team Division gets fewer than six registered teams?
If fewer than six teams register for the Junior Team Division, the competition will be canceled for that division, and registered teams will be moved to the Team Division. So, encourage other teams to sign up!
