Program Overview
To build, two must connect - We crafted our program, “Nourishing the Connections,” to foster the growth of connections between mother and child, within families, and into the broader community. Each offering is curated to establish guidance from the lens of those whose experiences and stories can align with yours. Throughout the cohort, you will have the opportunity to build relationships as you explore another view of parenting development and see how it can unfold and reform in various areas of your life. We aim to serve women recently* incarcerated or have an active or recently* closed CPS case.

Media Release

Our overall purpose of this program is to:

(1) Identify disparities impacting African American health arising from cumulative and historical discrimination and disadvantages in multiple systems. These may include, but are not limited to, housing, education, employment, gun violence, incarceration, environmental factors, healthcare discrimination, and
(2) Develop community-driven solutions incorporating a multisector approach to addressing identified disparities impacting African American health.
