On December 16, 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency developed new rules to control the use of lead in potable water. The City of Mount Pleasant is required to develop a Lead service line inventory list. This list will help identify materials used in plumbing materials on both the Community Water System and the customer plumbing lines. The community water system is responsible for everything up to the customer connection at the meter. The customer is responsible for everything from the customer connection at the meter and beyond. All homes constructed before July of 1988 will need to be inventoried to complete the Lead Service Line Inventory. Please fill out the questionnaire below.
