The Point in Time (PIT) Count is an annual census aimed at providing a comprehensive snapshot of our homeless community. This effort helps us advocate for the resources needed to support individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused.
Volunteers for the PIT Count will be placed on teams based on their chosen roles. "Outdoor Interview" Teams (those going out into the community to find those unhoused individuals/families) will be assigned to specific geographic zones within Cumberland County, with each team consisting of at least four members. Volunteers opting for the "Outdoor Interview" role can choose between two available time slots.
All volunteers are required to sign the NC-511 2025 Point in Time Homeless Count (January 23, 2025) Confidentiality and Release of Liability Agreement.
