Education represents one of the three pillars of NVAA's mission.
To help educate Property Management employees, NVAA has developed an annual Scholarship Program. We believe a well-trained employee is a productive and valuable member of our industry.
No matter the position, there is always something to learn. In the NOVA region, there are many ways in which our employees can grow professionally. There are ample educational resources such as the NAA and PMA education divisions, online Grace Hill classes, County programs, maintenance certification, and college courses.
Who should apply?
Anyone who works for a property management company, owner, or vendor that supports the multifamily industry and answers yes to one or more of these questions:
Do you want to earn a professional designation or certification (such as the National Apartment Leasing Professional designation)?
Do you want to improve your communication or language skills (or learn a second language)? Or maybe it is time to take an Excel course, so it is easier to manage and review your budgets?
Do you want to learn the basics of appliance maintenance so you can better evaluate if it is time to repair or replace them?
Do you need financial assistance to attend NVAA education programs?
When are the winners awarded?
Complete the application form, write a brief essay about your educational goals and aspirations as a member of the property management field, solicit two references and then attend the 2024 Holiday Gala on December 12, 2024, to find out who this year’s recipients are.
Based on the educational programming you are interested in, the Scholarship Committee will determine an award amount that would be paid directly to the program.
Applications are being accepted through November 7, 2024.
