    • REGISTER TO VOTE 
    • REGISTER ONLINE
       
      • Register online with a WI driver’s license or state ID through Wednesday, Oct 16.
      • Register in person after Oct 16 during the Early Voting period if voting by Nov 1 or at your polling place on Election Day. (Bring your WI driver’s license or state ID.)
      • If the address on file with the DMV does not match your current school address, update your address with the Wisconsin DMV online at the link provided on the MyVote Wisconsin registration website.
    • (If you are mailing the form, it must be postmarked by Wednesday October 16, 2024)
      • You will need to bring proof of residency in addition to the last 4 digits of your social security number. See below for those instructions.
      • Look for an on-campus voter registration drive to fill out your paper registration form and turn it in right there. Volunteers can submit it to the Clerk for you before the deadline.
      • You may also fill out and submit the WI Voter Registration form at your Municipal Clerk’s Office.

    • Register in person on the same day as Early Voting (Oct 22 - Nov 1) unless you are voting on November 2 or 3.

      To register while voting, you will need to bring:

      • Proof of residency 
      • The last 4 digits of your social security number
      • Voter ID to cast your ballot in the same visit

      • If you live in a dorm and get your mail in a different mailroom building, use your dorm's street address from Googling your dorm name as the "Address Where You Live"

    • GET VOTER ID AND PROOF OF RESIDENCY 
    • UW-Oshkosh provides a downloadable enrollment verification certificate, which qualifies as proof of residency. To obtain the certificate, login to Titan Web and click on the link for it at the bottom of your Student Center.
    • Off-campus students can bring one of the following documents that shows your name and your local address for voter registration:
      • Lease
      • Current utility bill
      • Bank statement or credit card bill
      • Government check, paycheck, or other government document showing your name and address.
    • Use any of the following as Voter ID when you vote:
      • Wisconsin Driver's License or DOT-issued ID
      • US Passport
      • Military ID
      • Student Identification Card (Voter ID) which is different from your normal TitanCard.

      You can get a free UW-Oshkosh Student Identification Card at Titan Central in Reeve Union. You will have to present your current valid TitanCard.

    • FIND POLLING LOCATION
       
      • Bring Voter ID
      • If registering at the same time, bring proof of residence.
      • You may register and vote at the polls on election day.
      • Vote Early in the Day: The polls are open from 7am to 8pm
      • If you are in line when the polls close, stay in line. Anyone in line must be allowed to vote by law.
      1. You have the right to vote from study abroad or out of state location in every election.
      2. Visit Vote from Abroad to vote from abroad or overseas and have your vote count in Wisconsin. Don't hesitate to use the chat icon at the bottom of their page for live help.
      3. Active-duty military and military families stationed anywhere in the US or abroad should visit FVAP.GOV to get your military ballot.
    • We do not recommend absentee or voting by mail-in ballot when Early Voting or Election Day voting at the polls is a possibility. Mail-in-ballots have very specific instructions and can be “spoiled” if not filled out correctly.

      • Be sure you fill out the inner envelope EXACTLY correctly.
      • Seal and sign the envelope.
      • You will need a witness who must put their information in the right place on the envelope.
      • Mail your ballot no later than Tuesday Oct 22 to give it time to arrive by election day.
