GRAND PARADE INFORMATION AND APPLICATION
Australia Day festivities will take place in the historic village of Berrima on Sunday 26 January 2025.
As part of the day's events, the annual Citizenship Ceremony and 2025 Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards will feature. To compliment the ceremony and to add a 'festive feel', the traditional Australia Day Market will again return to Market Park. Ther will be children's amusements, live entertainment and of course, the Street Parade at midday!
The Grand Parade will commence assembling from approximately 11.00am and proceed from Oxley Street travelling south down the Old Hume Highway through Berrima, finishing at Market Park by 12.45pm.
The Old Hume Highway will be closed to non-authrosied traffic from 11.00am and re-opened to by 1.00pm (when it is safe to do so).
We suggest those particpating with animals park at the Northen end of Berrima near the Oxley Street marshalling area.
There will be more information to follow regarding marshalling closer to the event.
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
Local businesses, community-based organisations (for example, RFS / SES), marching bands, school groups, colleges and educational institutions, religious communities, social / hobby groups and individuals from the Wingecarribee Shire are encourages to apply.

Complete this submission and attached the required documents.
COST
There are NO fees to participate.
APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON FRIDAY 3 JANUARY 2025
- You will receive confirmation from the Event Organisers advising receipt of your application. On the day of the Parade you may be given a permit (e.g. sticker or wrist band) which allows you to enter the designated assemby area and Parade.
Before submitting this form, please note the following requirements for operating on the day:
- This is an outdoor event, please consider all weather conditions in planning for the day.
- A copy of your Public Liability Insurance certificate of currency must be attached to this submission for the application to proceed (minimum $20 million).
- ALL particpants MUST submit a risk assessment to particpate in the Grand Parade.
Please note: if you are having any difficulties organising insurance please contact the Parade organisers for additional information.
