This form is used for notice of candidacy. Please complete and submit the NCAE/NEA nomination for regional positions and state-alloted delegates, Categories 1 & 2. Only individuals who are submitting nominations for regional director positions must submit a biography and a professional-quality photo. Each candidate running for office must have an active membership.
DEADLINE to submit this form: Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Please Note: Regional directors must not come from the same county within a region.
When an election for a regional director takes place simultaneously with an election to fill an unexpired term in the same region, the candidate who receives the most votes will win the two-year term and the candidate who receives the second most votes will win a 1- year term, provided they are from a different local association than the first winner. If the candidate with the second highest numbers of votes is from the same local association as the first, the candidate with the next highest vote count from a different local will win the 1- year term.

Region 4 Director- (1): 3 year term (Chapel Hill ineligible)
Region 5 Director- (1): 3 year term (Vance ineligible)
Region 6 Director- (2): 1 year term and 3 year term
Region 7A Director- (1): 2 year term
Region 7B Director- (1): 3 year term
NEA State-alloted delegate- Category 1- non-supervisory personnel (14 delegates funded)
NEA State-alloted delegate- Category 2- supervisory personnel (1 delegate funded)
Biographies and photographs of all candidates for regional directors will be published on the NCAE website. Complete the biographical form and picture (professional quality) and submit it via JotForm or by certified mail to Malika Butler, 3700 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 510, Raleigh, NC 27612, postmarked no later than January 7, 2025.
The deadline for withdrawal is January 14, 2025. It must be in writing. Please email the withdrawal statement to ncaeelections@ncae.org. ATTN: ELECTION OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
