The petition undersigned by Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC - UK) respectfully bring the following urgent issues to the attention of the Hon. High Commission of India that we believe merit immediate consideration and intervention. 1) Repatriation of Mortal Remains: Streamline and expedite the process of repatriating mortal remains to Kerala, easing the burden on grieving families. 2) Issuance of Death Certificates: Reduce delays in issuing death certificates, which cause unnecessary complications for families managing legal matters in the UK and India. 3) Appointment of a Malayalam-speaking Liaison Officer: Appoint a dedicated Malayalam-speaking officer at the High Commission to assist with language-specific support and navigating bureaucratic processes. 4) Increase in Flight Services from Kochi to the UK: Expand weekly flights from Kochi to the UK and extend services to Birmingham and Manchester to meet the needs of passengers from Northern and Central UK.
