At the time that this document is signed, Arctic Atlas Service Co. (AASC) provides only minor construction, repair, and remodeling within the scope of a Handyman Contractor. It is important that Clients are aware that certain repairs and construction work may require a different licensed or certified professional to do the work, and when applicable AASC will deny the service request and/or provide the necessary recommendation to Clients. This policy is in place to protect both Client and AASC as failure to hire qualified individuals may result in property damage or bodily injury.
AASC charges a current flat rate of $65 an hour for labor, in addition to all materials purchased or equipment rented during repair or service. AASC offers a discount per labor hour to customers paying with cash on the same day services are completed.
Customers are to remit payment for services rendered by AASC within 30 days of the date of invoice for services. If a customer fails to remit payment to AASC within 30 days of when the work was completed and invoiced, then AASC reserves the right to take legal action to collect payment. If the project reaches gross labor hours and purchased materials equal to $5000, AASC asks that clients make a good faith payment before work continues. AASC is not able to work on projects that have an aggregate total for materials and labor of $10,000 or more.
Both Client and AASC recognize that the Owner of AASC is an independent contractor and not an employee of the Client. The Client does not and is not required to provide any fringe or employee benefits.
AASC utilizes recording technology to protect against liability for both client and worker. At no point will AASC publish publically a recording of a client or their property, except in the case of litigation or the witnessing of illegal activities, in which case recordings will be surrendered to the proper authorities.
AASC assumes no liability beyond the repair or service provided. If a client hires AASC and requests that an issue be resolved quickly, but a licensed or certified professional is required to resolve the issue completely to avoid property damage or bodily injury, AASC will make the necessary recommendations to the client. If the client chooses not to or fails to hire professionals recommended by AASC to completely resolve the issue and property damage or bodily injury occurs related to the issue, AASC assumes no liability or responsibility for bodily injury or any subsequent damage incurred to real or implied property.
AASC reserves the right to delay or terminate service or repair due to unforeseen circumstances, scheduling conflicts, and emergencies.
Clients have the option to delay or terminate a job at anytime, however, if a client chooses to delay or terminate a job before the agreed upon completed time or state, AASC reserves the right to bill any real hours worked and materials purchased AND used thus far during the service or repair, and may charge a $50 cancellation fee.
