HHCI is a comprehensive mental health resource for the Greater Houston community and beyond. At the Hope and Healing Center & Institute (HHCI), we are reimagining mental health care. Our mission is aimed at transforming lives and restoring hope to individuals and families.

HHCI offers a variety of uniquely structured strength and skills-based services to adults across the age spectrum, including those with serious mental health difficulties and adults facing aging and caregiving issues.

Many of our services offer information and discussions about faith in the context of mental health care. Wherever a person is on their faith journey, we walk with them to help find and establish a faith community that suits their spiritual and emotional needs.

    Clinical Internship:

HHCI provides paid clinical placement for 2nd year graduate students seeking Master’s degrees in a mental health-related field. Interns are required to be onsite 24 hours per week between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm. Interns will participate in 2 hours of group case staffing weekly as well as scheduled 1-on-1 supervision.

Therapy services are delivered as a program that ranges from 8 to 12 months and requires weekly attendance. Our therapy programs are available to persons over the age of 18 who are experiencing symptoms of serious, chronic mental illness. Services are offered to the community at no charge. We do not offer family therapy, couples counseling, or counseling for higher-functioning individuals. This placement is beneficial for aspiring LCSW/LPC candidates interested in providing evidence-based therapeutic services in a one-on-one and group setting.
