    The AHRA Fellow designation recognizes the significant contributions of AHRA members to our professional association.
  • Using the evaluation point scale and form within this form, members may submit an application for Fellow status. Applications are made to the Member Recognition Committee and require the sponsorship of a current AHRA Fellow. All applicants will be notified of the Committee's decision, and those members who qualify for Fellow status will be recognized at the Annual Meeting.

  • There are 4 major categories. Each of these has a minimum point requirement as well as a maximum point limit. Some items within categories also have maximum point limits.

    Items from within each category are assigned a point value, indicated in parentheses. The applicant identifies the year(s) of achievement for each item and multiples that number by the point value.

    Example (from Category I, Section A, Item 10):

    Each at-large appointment as a member of a committee, team, task force, work group, board team, etc. (excluding annual meeting design team) for a full term of 1 month or more.

    Appointment: Editorial Review Board | 1989-1992 | 6 Points (3 years at 2 points per year = 6 points).

  • All accomplishments (e.g., selected offices, committee appointments, publications, etc.) must have been completed at the time of this application in order to be eligible for consideration. For a multi-year term, each year of service must be completed before points are applied, but the multi-year term need not be completed (e.g., if you began a term in August 2009 to finish in August 2012, you can receive credit for 1 year of service after August 2010, 2 years of service after August 2011, the 3rd year of service is not eligible for credit until after August 2012).

    Applicants must submit appropriate documentation to support the total point value of each category (specific types of documentation will vary; might include copies of diplomas, CE letters, title pages of articles or books, etc.). A resume or curriculum vitae is also required. Log-on to www.ahra.org (member home/view activities) to view a record of member activities. Applications submitted without supporting documentation cannot be processed.

    It is the applicant's responsibility to assure that all application materials have been received by AHRA by the deadline.

  • The role of the sponsor is to assist the individual applying for Fellowship status, by reviewing the application to determine readiness and if needed, identifying possible next steps if the individual has not yet met the criteria. The sponsor will present a supporting statement (recommendation) on behalf of the applicant. Sponsor must be a current AHRA Fellow.
