Sparta's 2024 Holiday Parade

Join us for Sparta's Annual Holiday Parade! If you have participated in the past, you know that this is a unique tradition of a night-time parade held on the first Friday of December. The route will begin on Franklin and Water Streets, head south with a turn left onto Oak Street. The route will take you down Oak Street where you will make a slight right turn to head towards Evans Bosshard Park. You can go straight to Wiscsonsin Street to exit or turn left on to Rusk Avenue to park orexit. Santa's float will head into Evans Bosshard Park for the tree lighting ceremony. Prizes will be awarded for the following categories just before the lighting ceremony in the park:

Santa's Favorite, Rudolph's Award, Best Use of Lights, Best of Theme

If you choose to participate, please fill out the following form along with the $20 entry fee and return it before 4:00 PM on November 29, 2024.

Not-for-Profit entry fee will be $10

**Please note that the entry fee is to help offset street closure costs and awards given at the end of the evening.**

Please read the parade regualtions carefully. Failure to comply will result in your removal from the lineup and disqualification from participating in future parades.

Please be sure that your float is clearly labeled and there is a section where you may tell us about your entry.

Rules and Regulations

Give our spectators a great show, but keep in mind that awards are given; be creative and have fun.
In our efforts to make this parade fun and exciting, we ask that all entrants are FULLY DECORATED. Vehicles without decorations offer little to our spectators.
We encourage you to make your entry as orginal and engaging as pososble, but DO NOT include a Santa Claus! The coveted "Santa Float" is the grand finale of the parade, and this honor has been reserved for the Sparta Holiday Lights Group.
Music is a great addition to any entry, as are costumes.
Activities such as singing, dancing, and other performances are highly encouraged.
This year's theme is "Winter Magic" and we strongly encourage you to create an entry that reflects the theme. All entries must conform to genearlly accepted standards of good taste.
Parade lineup starts at 4:30pm
Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
The parade is held rain of shine (sleet or snow).
