Nogal Canyon Boogie

Glorietta Ranch, 40 Miles south of Socorro, NM on I-25

AERC Sanctioned Intro, 25, Twilight 25 and 50 on September 26, 2025, September 27, 2025, Intro, 25, 50 Twilight 25.

The ride will be held on Glorietta Ranch, this ranch is located 40 miles south of Socorro and 25 miles north of Truth or Consequences, NM west side of I-25.  This ranch is a working cattle ranch and there will be some cross country, ranch roads, two track, single track along with some gates.  There is some elevation change since we do go into and out of some canyons.  All loops will be marked with flagging tape on clothes pins.  Maps will be provided at basecamp.  Basecamp area is a large field next to the homestead.  

 

All vet checks are in basecamp.

 Location/Directions:  From the South: I-25 take exit 100, go over Interstate, turn right onto Hwy 1, left hand turn after Nogel Canyon on dirt road, between mile marker 17-18, approx . 2.5 miles to basecamp. From the North - Take exit 115 go over the Interstate, turn right onto Hwy 1. Approx. 6 miles, turn right onto ranch road, about 2.5 miles to basecamp

 

All Minor Riders(under 18):  Are required to wear a helmet at all times while mounted on an equine and Junior rider with an adult sponsor. Those junior riders who qualify to ride without a sponsor must have the appropriate paperwork from AERC.

Rules and Regulations: This ride will be conducted in accordance with AERC: www.aerc.org.

Dogs: Endurance people like to have their canine companions with them. It is the  ride policy that they be on a leash AT ALL TIMES! NO dogs are allowed on the trails at any time. Please be courteous and pick up after your dog.

Weather: Prepare for any type of weather, elevation is at approximently 4800 feet.  It can be warm, cold, windy, wet or dry.  In other words prepare for anything.

Ride camp will be open on Thursday morning. if you are coming early, it is required to notify the Ride Management of when you will arrive.  Basecamp is located behind a locked gate.

No food will be provded at ride.

                                      

  

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation before midnight on September 19, 2025 in writing will be refunded minus the adminstration fee of $25.

Cancellation after September 19, 2025, or no show, no refund.

I wish to Enter, Participate, Volunteer, or offer Veterinarian services in a Trot on Endurance ride event. I have read and understand the rules, conditions and regulations of this event and I hereby promise to comply with them.
In consideration of acceptance of my Entry, Participation, Volunteerism or Veterinarian service in this event, I acknowledge the inherent risks involved in my activity, I assume those risks and full responsibility for my own safety.
I hereby, for myself, my heirs, my personal representatives and any other person or entity who may assert a claim, release and waive any and all claims or cause whatsoever, against any and all persons and/or entities, their shareholders, directors, officers, members, managers, agents and employees from any and all liability for personal injury, illness, disability, death or property damage arising from or relating to my entry, participation, volunteering or providing veterinarian services in this event. I SPECIFICALLY AND KNOWINGLY AGREE THAT I EXPRESSLY INTEND TO RELEASE the persons and entities, their shareholders, directors, officers, members, managers, agents and employees from THEIR OWN NEGLIGENCE.
Additionally, without limitation, I hereby waive any right I may have now or in the future, to assert claims for personal injury, illness, disability, death or property damage against any of the persons or entities, heirs, and assigns from liability for personal injury and property damage, and I waive my rights for claims for personal injury or damages against these persons or entities including: Southwest Endurance Riders Management, all event staff, AERC, State of New Mexico, US National Forest Service, BLM, Binns Land and Cattle Company and all other sponsors, their agents, representatives, servants, employees, successors and assigns. This includes but not limited to Ride Managers, Ride Veterinarians, and Ride Volunteers.
I HEREBY certify that I fully understand that there are substantial risks associated with activities involving horses and endurance riding, as well as the sport of running. I hereby freely assume the risk and costs that I or my assistants or crew may suffer from personal injury, illness, disability, death or property damage, including damage or injury to my horse, myself, or themselves by my participation in the event named above.
Participation includes, but is not limited to, possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others and assume full responsibility for my participation. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation as regards protection against infectious diseases and the Covid-19 agreement to participate.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IF FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
