Jayne Britt Parish Nurse Education Fund Scholarship Grant Application

 

The Jayne Britt Parish Nurse Education Fund was established to provide scholarships to nurses interested in taking the parish nurse preparation course, to current parish nurses wishing to become certified as such, or to any individual involved in health ministry interested in a professional development opportunity.

Applications for scholarship awards from this fund will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1.     Financial Need

2.     Commitment to a church-based ministry in Ottawa or Allegan County

3.     Length of involvement with a health ministry

4.     Character, ability, motivation, and commitment

5.     Relevance and significance of education/professional development opportunity

Awards are made by the Foundation's Board of Trustees, based on recommendations of the Scholarship Committee. Any awards will be paid directly to the institution of higher education or the organization sponsoring the professional development opportunity.

1. Applications must be submitted online. No other electronic or paper submissions will be accepted.

2. Immediate family members of selection committee members are not eligible to receive grants from a Section 4966 scholarship fund. An immediate family member is defined as a parent; sibling; child by blood, adoption, or marriage; spouse; grandparent or grandchild.

3. Falsification of information shall result in your disqualification from scholarship consideration.

4. CFHZ will contact award winners at the home or email address provided.

5. Winners must return acceptance paperwork as specified by CFHZ.
