Art After Hours invites all Sitar adults to participate in a two‑session creative and wellness experience combining ceramic arts with mindful movement. RSVP is required, and the workshop will be first come, first served.
Participation in both parts is not required. Please indicate on the RSVP form what you wish to participate in.
No childcare? No problem! Sitar will play a movie in our deLaski Theatre for children of all ages to enjoy along with snacks. Kids are encouraged to bring pillows, blankets, and pj’s to be extra cozy!
Session 1: Pottery Hand‑Building
Who: All Sitar parents, guardians, faculty, and volunteers
When: March 20, 2026. 6 – 8 PM
Where: Sitar Arts Center
What: Participants will receive guided instruction in foundational pottery hand‑building techniques. Each attendee will create one or more ceramic pieces, which will be kiln‑fired in preparation for the second session. No prior experience is required.
Movie: Night at the Museum
Session 2: Glazing, Yoga, and Guided Meditation
Who: All Sitar parents, guardians, faculty, and volunteers
When: April 24, 2026. 6 – 8 PM
Where: Sitar Arts Center
What: Attendees will return to glaze and paint their fired pottery pieces. The evening will conclude with a gentle yoga class and guided meditation designed to promote relaxation and support a reflective creative process.
