  • Pinal County Farm Bureau Ag Ambassador Program Overview
    Thank you for your interest in the 2025–2026 Pinal County Farm Bureau Ag Ambassador Program!

    This program is designed for outstanding high school seniors in Pinal County who are passionate about agriculture and leadership. To apply, you must:

    • Be a senior in a Pinal County high school or homeschool program
    • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher
    • Have an interest in pursuing a career in agriculture
    • Commit to participating in multiple Farm Bureau events throughout the year

    Time Commitment – Please Read Carefully
    The Ag Ambassador Program requires a serious commitment of time and energy.

    • Ambassadors are expected to attend at least one tour, event, or meeting each month.
    • You will miss school days for tours and events, but official school excuses will be provided.
    • You may also miss practices, club activities, or other extracurricular commitments.
    • If your schedule is already overloaded with sports, jobs, or other clubs, this program may not be the right fit this year.
    • We want students who can fully engage, represent Farm Bureau well, and take advantage of the opportunities this program provides.


    Why Become an Ag Ambassador?
    Ag Ambassadors are student leaders who represent the Pinal County Farm Bureau at events, meetings, and educational programs.

    Ambassadors will:

    • Learn how Farm Bureau works from the grassroots up, with emphasis on policy, resolution, and legislative processes
    • Gain skills to become advocates for agriculture
    • Build experiences that strengthen college, scholarship, and job applications
    • Develop public speaking, networking, and leadership skills

    Opportunities and Benefits
    This program is more than a scholarship — it’s a door into the Arizona agriculture community.

    • Ambassadors will meet and make connections with leaders in agriculture, business, and government
    • Many of the places we tour could offer internships, jobs, or future career opportunities
    • Students will develop a professional network that can support them in college and beyond
    • Ambassadors may have opportunities to meet statewide leaders and attend district, state, or national Farm Bureau events

    Expectations
    As an Ag Ambassador, you will:

    • Attend at least 2 of 11 county board meetings or 2 state Farm Bureau meetings (input encouraged, but no voting rights)
    • Participate in at least 4 Farm Bureau events to qualify for a full scholarship
    • Engage with community members
    • Help plan, support, and attend Farm Bureau programs, and meetings
    • Potentially participate in overnight trips (all approved expenses covered by Farm Bureau)
    • Contribute to strengthening and improving the Ambassador Program each year
    • Be encouraged to join the Collegiate Farm Bureau / Young Farmers & Ranchers chapter in college

    Incentives
    Ambassadors will benefit from:

    • A Farm Bureau shirt provided by the program
    • Opportunities to meet state leaders in agriculture, government, and media
    • Eligibility for a scholarship of up to $1,600, based on participation and service during the program year
    • Free Collegiate Farm Bureau membership in college

     

    Standards of Conduct
    Ambassadors are expected to uphold high standards of character, leadership, and integrity:

    • Abide by all federal, state, and local laws
    • Follow your school’s or college’s established conduct policies
    • Represent yourself and Farm Bureau with professionalism both in and out of school

     

  • Selection Process
    Once you submit this form, the Pinal County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee will review your application.

    • You will receive a confirmation email that your application has been received.
    • If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please text Kelly Wilcox at (520) 840-3826 for assistance.

    The committee will then carefully evaluate all applications, and selected students will be contacted with next steps.

  • PINAL COUNTY FARM BUREAU AG AMBASSADOR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
    This unique scholarship opportunity is for graduating seniors who live in Pinal County and are pursuing a career in agriculture. Recipients are selected by the Pinal County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee.

    The ideal applicant is a student who can:

    • Clearly communicate their agricultural experiences
    • Demonstrate a strong drive for a future in agriculture
    • Show a willingness to participate in the Ag Ambassador Program
    • Applicants must also have concrete plans for continuing education after high school, whether through a trade school, community college, four-year university, or military service.

    In accordance with the provisions of Public Law 93-579, The Privacy Act of 1974, I hereby give my consent for information contained in my application file to be furnished to members of the Pinal County Farm Bureau Scholarship Committee for the purpose of evaluation. I also consent to the use of information in this scholarship application for the purpose of publicizing my receipt of a scholarship should I be selected as a recipient. Additionally, I hereby assign full copyright of any photographs taken of me in connection with this program to the Pinal County Farm Bureau (and its representatives and assigns), together with the right to reproduce such photographs in whole or in part.
  • Pinal County Farm Bureau Scholarship Code of Conduct
    The Pinal County Farm Bureau (PCFB) Scholarship Code of Conduct establishes the expected behavior of all scholarship applicants and recipients of awards administered by the Pinal County Farm Bureau Board.

    In addition to meeting academic and program requirements, the Farm Bureau seeks applicants of good character who will represent Pinal County and PCFB with integrity. Conduct, moral character, and ethical behavior will be considered for anyone applying for or receiving a scholarship.


    Standards of Conduct
    All scholarship applicants and recipients are expected to:

    • Abide by all federal, state, and local civil and criminal laws
    • Follow the established conduct policies of their high school or college
    • Act in good character both in and out of school

    School Notification
    By applying for a scholarship, applicants/recipients give permission for their high school principal, counselor, or college administrator (as appropriate) to notify PCFB if they become aware of any incident involving the applicant/recipient that may violate this Code of Conduct.

    PCFB Rights
    The Pinal County Farm Bureau reserves the right to:

    • Address conduct-related issues that occur before, during, or after the scholarship application or award process
    • Review conduct concerns arising during high school or college years
    • Decline to act on information received from anonymous sources

     

    Consequences

    • Applicants who violate these standards may be removed from consideration for PCFB scholarships at the discretion of the Board
    • Current scholarship recipients may have their scholarship funds forfeited if they are found in violation of their scholarship agreement
