The MSRP provides medical students with the opportunity to showcase their research through either a poster or oral presentation. Each presentation is allotted 7 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A. Faculty, residents, and fellows serve as reviewers and provide written feedback using a standardized rubric. The day after each session, presenters receive a personalized email with the evaluations completed by the reviewers.
The MSRP fulfills the final presentation requirement for the Student Scholarship & Inquiry Program.
This event is held monthly, offering ongoing opportunities for students to present their work and receive constructive feedback. Students may select or suggest their preferred presentation date using the registration form.
Each MSRP session features 2–3 presenters, with spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis from among the students who complete the registration form for the chosen date. Students will be notified if they are selected to present.
Please note that all research presentations must be approved by the student’s project mentor prior to participation.
Presenters gain valuable experience in effectively communicating their research, receiving structured feedback, preparing for conferences, strengthening their resumes/CVs, practicing Q&A skills, and identifying next steps such as refining their work for publication.
