- THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME VISTING MANDALA SPRINGS

EVERYONE OVER 18 MUST SIGN THIS NO MATTER YOUR PURPOSE OF VISIT, EVEN TO COME FILL UP WATER OR SAY HI TO A FRIEND, THIS IS FOR EVERYONES SAFETY AND COMFORT

I hereby agree to the following in relation to my participation in activities and use of facilities at Mandala Springs Wellness Center and Eco Resort:

1.VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION: I acknowledge that I have voluntarily chosen to participate in activities and use facilities at Mandala Springs, which may include but are not limited to: yoga classes, ecstatic dance events, use of spa facilities (saunas, cold plunges, etc, overnight stays, hiking, work-for-trade programs, and any other offerings or amenities provided by Mandala Springs.

2.ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I understand that my presence on the property and participation in activities involves inherent risks that may result in serious injury, illness, or death. These risks include but are not limited to:

• 2.1.Physical injuries from activities such as yoga, dance, or hiking 
• 2.2.Overexertion, dehydration, or exposure to extreme temperatures in spa facilities
• 2.3.Allergic reactions to environmental factors or spa products
• 2.4.Encounters with wildlife or exposure to natural elements
• 2.5.Accidents related to overnight stays or use of facilities
• 2.6.Injuries or strain from participation in work-for-trade activities

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown.

3.PHYSICAL FITNESS AND MEDICAL CLEARANCE: I represent that I am in sufficiently good health and physical condition to safely participate in activities at Mandala Springs.I have no medical conditions that would make my participation inadvisable. For high-intensity activities or use of spa facilities, I have consulted with a medical professional if necessary.

4.RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Mandala Springs, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents ("Releasees") from any and all claims, demands, losses, and liability arising out of or related to any injury, disability, or death I may suffer, or loss or damage to person or property, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5.ADHERENCE TO RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS: I agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions set forth by Mandala Springs staff for all activities and use of facilities. This includes but is not limited to:

• 5.1.Following instructor guidance in yoga and dance classes
• 5.2.Observing time limits and safety protocols in spa facilities
• 5.3.Respecting quiet hours and guest policies during overnight stays
• 5.4.Adhering to trail markers and wildlife safety guidelines while on the property
• 5.5.Following all training and safety procedures in work-for-trade programs

6.LAND STEWARDSHIP: I acknowledge the sacred nature of the land at Mandala Springs and agree to honor it during my stay. I commit to:

• 6.1. Remaining within designated areas unless explicitly permitted otherwise 6.2.Practicing Leave No Trace principles
• 6.3.Respecting wildlife and plant life
• 6.4.Adhering to all sustainability and conservation guidelines provided

7. PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: I grant Mandala Springs the right to take photographs or videos of me in connection with my activities. I authorize Mandala Springs to use such photographs or videos for promotional purposes.

8.PROPERTY RESPONSIBILITY: I accept full responsibility for any damage to or loss of my personal property while at Mandala Springs. 

9.WORK-FOR-TRADE AGREEMENT (if applicable): If participating in a work-for-trade program, I understand that this does not constitute an employment relationship. I agree to fulfill my committed schedule and responsibilities in exchange for the agreed-upon benefits.

10.DURATION OF AGREEMENT: I agree that this waiver and release of liability shall apply to each and every visit I make to Mandala Springs and participation in its activities for a period of 12 months from the date of signing.

11.SEVERABILITY: If any portion of this waiver is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

12. PHOTO RELEASE: I grant Mandala Springs permission to use photographs or videos of me taken on for promotional, educational, or informational purposes in print, digital, or online formats. 

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

1. Respect the Natural Environment:

- Stay on Marked Trails: For your safety and the preservation of our land, please stick to marked hiking trails. Venturing off-trail can damage sensitive ecosystems and disturb wildlife.

- Respect Wildlife: Observe wildlife from a distance and avoid feeding or disturbing animals. They are an integral part of our environment and deserve their space.

- No Foraging: Foraging for plants or mushrooms is not permitted. Our diverse flora is carefully managed to maintain ecological balance.

- Littering Prohibited: Dispose of all waste in designated bins, compost, and recycle whenever possible. Littering is not tolerated and can harm both the environment and wildlife.

- Human Waste: Our spring water sources are vital to our community. Please use composting toilets provided on the property to avoid contamination.

- No Burning Trash: Burning trash is not allowed on the property. Please use designated waste disposal bins.

- No Soaps in Streams: To protect the marine life in our streams- do not use any soaps, including natural or biodegradable ones, in or near the streams or water sources.

- Temperate Rainforest Environment: As part of a temperate rainforest, our area is home to various insects. We recommend bringing CHEMICAL SYNTHETIC FREE, NON DEET insect repellent and appropriate clothing

Please note: chemicals will absolutely not be permitted at Mandala Springs. This is an Certified Organic Forest Farm and ecological land stewardship project. This regulation is required for us to maintain our USDA Organic Awarded Cert. If you are found using chemicals you will be asked to leave the premises immediately without refund.

 2. Permaculture Guidelines

Our permaculture practices are part of the heartbeat of our community's ethos. Please support our efforts by respecting and adhering to all guidelines related to permaculture and sustainability.

- We compost!: Please put all food scraps into our composter (except meat Please remove fruit stickers. DO NOT put plastic, aluminum, etc in to the composter! Thank you!

- No Peeing Near Water Sources: To protect our spring water sources, please do not urinate near any water bodies.

- Composting Toilets: We use composting toilets to sustainably manage waste and nourish the earth. These facilities are designed to be eco-friendly and integral to our values. No inorganic or non-compostable items can be used in composting toilets. Use provided trash receptacles for inorganic trash and waste!

 3. Our Value System:

- Respect Our Values: Our community is dedicated to living in alignment with our values of sustainability, respect, clear communication and connection. We ask that you embody these values during your stay.

- This is a substance free community: Whilst we respect medicines deeply, there is a place and a time for them. Unless there is a guided sacred ceremony planned by community leadership, we ask that you refrain from utilizing substances while on our land. This includes alcohol and tobacco. If you choose to smoke cigarettes, please walk down the road to smoke.

- Conscious communication: If challenge arises between you and another community member, we ask that you approach them directly to resolve and repair. We invite folks to practice curiosity, deep listening, and the willingness to understand other perspectives. Gossip will not be tolerated. Someone within the community is always available to hold space when processing a miscommunication or repairing conflict.

By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the rules and guidelines outlined in this waiver, including the policies on damages, cleaning fees, and additional guidelines. Your cooperation helps us maintain the integrity and harmony of our eco-community.

DO NOT show up at Mandala Springs without letting us know. 

This is a home for many people at a time, so we must mantain boundaries.  

Keep an eye on our event schedule to see when you can come out, this includes music events, community work days, etc!

If you are friends with someone on the land and are coming out to see them, they have the responsibility to let other residents know with as much notice as possible.
