  • CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT

  • I certify that the information provided is true and correct and | agree to perform my duties as a coach to the best of my abilities with emphasis on fair play and sportsmanship.

As a coach with Wagga Kangaroos JRLFC: | will provide a positive attitude and demonstrate the principles of fair play and sportsmanship. I will place the emotional and physical wellbeing of the players ahead of the desire to win. I will treat each player as an individual, recognising the vast range of emotional and physical development of players at any given age. I will use coaching techniques that are appropriate for the skill level and the players I coach, so as to make sure they are fun and challenging for all players. I understand that I may be required to attend training sessions and coaching clinics that are designed to improve my coaching skills and to familiarise myself with the latest coaching techniques and safety considerations.

The time consecutively coaching the one team has been amended to a maximum of three years as decided by the committee and during this time the current coach is to implement a succession plan for either their assistant to take over or a parent who is eager to join the coaching ranks. I will always be positive in my suggestions and criticisms towards both the young players and the parents/guardians of those children. I will remember that I coach a junior football team and the game is for young players not adults. I will maintain regular contact with the parents/guardians of my players, be responsible for equipment and maintain all necessary paperwork in a proper and professional manner.

I will not attempt to represent the position of the Wagga Kangaroos JRLFC on any subject matter to players, parents, NRL RL or Wagga Junior Rugby League without the express consent or the Wagga Kangaroos JRLFC President and Executive members. I will at all times help encourage your players and parents to volunteer through the year to help in making our club successful. I agree that I am signing up as coach for the full Rugby League calendar year and agree that signing up as a coach, I have made a commitment to the team and the parents for the full year.

I understand that as a coach I will not forfeit any games for my team unless otherwise firstly communicated and agreed by the Executive Committee of the Club

By signing this form I acknowledge that I have read the responsibilities and ethics policies outlined above and that I agree to perform my duties as a coach in conformance with those policies to the best of my ability. Furthermore, I understand that if I do not follow these policies the club may remove me as coach and prohibit my ability to coach in the future.
