There is currently an extensive waiting list to adopt a Career Change dog; however, we are always in need of Puppy Raisers to provide temporary loving homes to our Pilot Puppies until they start their advanced guide dog training (short and long term opportunities are available). Terms and Conditions I agree to properly house, feed and otherwise care for this dog. I will exercise control and restraint with respect to this dog at all times. I will not allow it to run free and will ensure that it does not become a nuisance or a menace to other persons or their property. I agree that this dog shall not be used for medical or other experimental purposes, for dog fighting or any other cruel or unusual treatment. The dog shall not be bred, abused, neglected, or abandoned. This dog shall have the benefit of a regular program of immunization and veterinary care. Furthermore, I understand that Pilot Dogs' experience with this dog is limited. Pilot Dogs are raised in either a family home or kennel setting with exposure to other dogs, cats, and people. Pilot Dogs cannot guarantee that the dog will show favorable behavior towards me or my pets at home. I also understand that Pilot Dogs will furnish all shot records for the dog while in the organization's care and the dog's date of birth. I also understand that effective on the date that I take delivery of the dog, ownership of the dog is transferred to me and I assume all liability and responsibility for the dog. **Adopted dogs from Pilot Dogs are NOT certified working dogs and are considered PETS ONLY.
