- Due to the sensitive nature of the information handled at Technology North, all candidates must pass a thorough background check, including an enhanced security clearance, before employment.
  
  All candidates must pass a 2 stage comprehensive background check as part of the hiring process.
  
  This includes a background check conducted by Technology North and an enhanced security check carried out by a police agency (which agency may vary by project assignment), which requires detailed personal information, as well as information about close contacts and family members.

- Technology North's employment model is thoughtfully designed to support individuals on the autism spectrum, particularly those who may face challenges with verbal communication and self-advocacy in the workplace. A key feature of this model is the inclusion of a trusted support person—such as a family member, close friend, or guardian — who accompanies each employee on their professional journey with Technology North.
  
  The support person is expected to be available for scheduled meetings which would include the employee and Job Coach. This ensures ongoing open communication and provides a reliable way to address any potential challenges, communication barriers or obstacles. The support person’s involvement is not part of the employee's daily work routine.
