Goal: Select and empower a dedicated group of youth to champion mental health awareness, youth leadership development and prevent bullying within their communities.ility:
Age range: 14-21 (must be enrolled in a high school or university)
- Demonstrated interest in mental health and bullying prevention
- Some leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to program goals and activities
- Must be available to meet monthly for planning, workshops or networking events.
Selection Process:
- Complete an application
- Attend a Meeting as a vistor to learn about the program
- Interview with current Youth Ambassadors
- After being accepted into the program, signed permission slip completed by parent
- Attend meetings and get involved.
Program Benefits:
- Training: Attend workshops covering topics like mental health literacy, bystander intervention, and communication skills.
- Leadership Development: Enhance leadership skills through planning and facilitating activities, collaborating with peers, and representing the program in public.
