ALEXANDER BEN ABRAHAM SINGER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
  • The Alexander Ben Abraham Singer Scholarship:

  • The Alexander Singer Scholarship Fund was established in blessed memory of its namesake, and distributed to JCSH by the Sidney Stern Family Foundation.

    The purpose of the scholarship is to financially assist Hawaii’s Jewish youth to attend:

    * Jewish overnight camps

    * Educational summer programs in Israel

    * Birthright Israel

    * Jewish day camp if funds available after above priorities are met

    Applicants must be 11 or older at the time of camp.

    Grants are awarded depending on financial need, funds available, first time campers, and the number of applicants. Priority is given to overnight camp, and then Jewish daycamp will be considered if funds are available closer to the summer.

    Please apply by March 30 for overnight camp or Israel programs.

    Decisions are made by a small committee and we will contact you immediately after a decision is finalized. We will contact you by email with award decisions.

    • Priority is given to first time Singer Scholarship applicants.
    • Please be honest about your household income - everthing is confidential.
    • Programs must be Jewish based and run by a Jewish organization.
