No theme. This is a blind juried exhibition with cash prizes. Not all artwork entered will be selected.

How the blind juried process works: The CAL Exhibits Committee provides the juror with the following information on all artwork submissions - image, title, medium and dimensions. The juror evaluates artists' artwork without knowing the identity of the submitting artist. The juror will select up to 40 pieces to be included in the exhibition, as well as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and 2 Honorable Mentions winners.

1st Place - $400
2nd Place - $200
3rd Place - $100 
Honorable Mentions (2) - $50
Note: Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception on December 13, 2024 (6-9pm)

ELIGIBILITY
All artists are invited to participate. This is a juried show, all entries that meet specification requirements will be considered, but not all will be selected. Works that do not meet qualification specifications (see below) will not be accepted.

CAL Members: First two (2) entries $35. $10 per entry after 2. Maximum 4 entries.
Non-Members: First two (2) entries $45. $15 per entry after 2. Maximum 4 entries.

SUBMISSIONS
All artwork must be submitted via this online form. Exhibit capacity is around 40 pieces of artwork, depending on size. This entry form will close once the deadline is reached. Accepted works will be exhibited for sale in the Charlotte Art League hallway gallery.

Submission deadline: Tuesday, November 19, 2024

Notification email of accepted entries: Monday, December 2, 2024

Deliver artwork to CAL (4237 Raleigh Street): Friday, December 6, 2024 (1-3pm) or Sunday, December 8, 2024 (1-3pm)
Note: Artwork MUST must be properly mounted with D Rings and wired. NO sawtooth hangers.

Opening Night Reception: Friday December 13, 2024 (6-9pm)

Exhibition show dates: December 13, 2024 - February 7, 2025

Pick up exhibited work: Friday February 7, 2025 (1-3pm) or Sunday February 9, 2024 (1-3pm)

*Note: Artwork left beyond the scheduled pick up dates are subject to a holding fee of $5/day. Artwork left beyond 30 days will become the property of CAL.

SPECIFICATIONS
All entries must be original works - no reproductions. Works may include paintings, drawings, mixed media, photographs, prints, ceramics, sculpture, furniture, jewelry, fiber art, written word, poetry or art installations.

All hanging artwork MUST be properly mounted with D Rings and wired. NO sawtooth hangers. All works must be properly framed or gallery wrapped with finished sides. Works on paper must be protected by glass or plexiglass.

Three-dimensional art exceeding 30”x30”x72” or weighing more than 50 pounds may require installation by the artist. Display stands for 3D work are provided by the Charlotte Art League with prior approval.

Artwork may be rejected if we are not able to properly or safely install the work.

PRICING & COMMISION
All artwork must be available for sale. No "Price on Requests" will be accepted. CAL will retain 30% commission on all sales from Members and 35% from Non-Members.

ARTIST CONSENT FORM

LIABILITY
Charlotte Art League (CAL) will take every precaution in the handling of your artwork in the exhibition. However, CAL accepts no responsibility for any loss, theft or damage of artwork. Concerned artists should provide their own insurance coverage. Entries must remain for the duration of the exhibit and be picked up on the scheduled dates. CAL reserves the right to decline any entry or withdraw any entry from the exhibition at it's discretion. CAL reserves the right to photograph and reproduce any entry for educational or publicity purposes in any format. CAL is not responsible for misprints, misspellings, errors or other omissions taken from artist’s information.

ARTIST AGREEMENT
My signature on this consent form indicates that I have carefully read this agreement, fully understand it's content, and agree to the terms stated above and in the accompanying prospectus. Acceptance of terms does not guarantee selection into the exhibition.
