Nest Boxes
Tree hollows play such an important part in the lives of so many of our native species. More and more tree hollows are lost with the clearing of land. Each hollow can take 100+ years and so more and more species are finding it difficult to find suitable habitat in which to seek shelter and to breed.
Why not set up a nesting box back at your school, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1. Identify which native species are in your local area
2. Select the appropriate box when you book your excursion
3. Collect during your excursion, assemble and set up back at your school
For a more meaningful experience, why not download our Wildlife Tracker data sheet, and have students carry out observations on your school's nest box.
