~ Members Gallery & Gift Shop Information ~

The Maude Kerns Art Center is pleased to open a search among its membership and community members for new artists for the Maude Kerns Art Center Members Gallery & Gift Shop. What is special and sets MKAC’s Members Gallery & Gift Shop apart is that all work is by our member artists; It is a great source of pride to feature our members work.
~ Members Gift Shop ~

The Members Gift Shop is open to members and artists who if are accepted will enroll for membership at that time. Please refer to the membership page for the most up to date cost of an annual membership.
~ Members Gallery ~

The Members Gallery is open to members to exhibit two or three dimensional work on a seasonal 3-3.5 month basis. We ask that pieces be for sale. Interested buyers are able to bring work home that same day. There is no size limit, however small to medium sized pieces sell best. This is a great space to try out new works, but previously exhibited works are also accepted. When a piece sells, Artists are welcome to bring a new piece to replace it.
~ What are we looking for? ~

Two and three dimensional work for the Members Gallery, cards, prints, textiles, wearables, jewelry, hand blown and fused glass, clothing, hats, household décor, ceramics and pottery, tchotchkes, etc. This call is for handmade merchandise and artwork for the Members Gallery. Submissions are taken on a rolling basis.
~ Selection Process ~

The Members Gallery & Gift Shop is open to all member artists and community artists and craftspeople producing original art. Commercially produced work, art assembled from kits, or imported art and goods will not be accepted. Artists may submit up to 5 examples of their work for consideration.

Work will be invited based on aesthetic impact, content, price point, artistic quality and craftsmanship. Current gift shop artists need not apply with work currently carried.
~ Fees ~

There will be a 40% commission on all art and gift shop sales. Maude Kerns Art Center will handle all sales and will issue artists a check within thirty days of the close of the month. All proceeds help to support the Art Center and it's mission.
