Macomb Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated 2023-24 Scholarship Application

Dear Applicant:

The Macomb Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is committed to helping young people succeed academically. This includes ensuring that students have access to the financial resources they need to obtain a college education.

Scholarships are now available to underrepresented racial groups or persons of color High School Seniors who reside in or attend school in the Macomb Alumnae Chapter (MAC) service area: Clinton Township, Eastpointe, Harrison Township, Macomb, Macomb Township, Mt. Clemens, Roseville, Shelby Township, St. Clair Shores, Sterling Heights, Warren, Washington Township.

To be eligible to receive an award, students MUST have a grade point average of at least 2.5 (based on a 4.0 scale) and have been accepted to a full-time program at a college, university, community college, trade or vocational school, or other accredited post-secondary institution for the upcoming Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semester. Verification of acceptance/enrollment must be provided before the scholarship award check is issued.

Completed applications must include the following items:
- Online application form
- Uploaded official high school transcript
- One (1) signed letter of recommendation
- One (1) letter of acceptance and verification of enrollment to a college, university, or institution of equivalent accreditation for Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
- Completed Essay
- An e-signature from a parent or guardian
- One (1) photograph (a recent headshot cap and gown or business attire, preferred. NO selfies)
All materials must be submitted via the online application form by February 2, 2025.

The application will not automatically save; it must be completed & submitted in one sitting.

Hand-delivered, mailed, or emailed applications or documents will not be accepted.

Next Steps
- Students who have submitted a completed application and meet the requirements will be notified via phone or e-mail to schedule an interview.
- Applicants who are awarded a scholarship will be notified no later than May 1st.
