At GTR & PRO/CPRO, all charitable initiatives will be coordinated through our Foundation to ensure alignment with our mission and maximize community impact.
Members are invited to submit proposals for charitable initiatives. These proposals will be reviewed based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with Foundation Goals:
All submissions must clearly align with the Foundation's mission and objectives. Proposals should highlight how the charitable effort advances the Foundation’s goals of community enrichment, empowerment, or education.
- Member Participation:
Proposals should demonstrate the submitting member’s active involvement with the charitable organization or initiative. Strong consideration will be given to members who are actively engaged, as we prioritize supporting causes where our members contribute their time, energy, and passion. Proposals outside of the Foundation's supported initiatives may still be eligible for evaluation under the Foundation’s Good Neighbor Awards, which will be distributed year-round and recognized across our social media channels and publications.
- Impact and Feasibility:
Submissions must demonstrate the potential for significant, positive community impact. A clear and actionable plan for implementation, including resource requirements, timeline, and potential challenges, should be provided to show the feasibility of the effort.
Members with consistent and active involvement in charitable efforts will receive priority consideration for support from the Foundation. We encourage collaboration among members to strengthen initiatives and ensure broader community impact.
Upon submission, the proposal will undergo an initial review by the Foundation staff to ensure completeness and alignment with the Foundation's goals. Incomplete submissions or those that do not align with the Foundation’s mission will be returned to the member for revision or clarification.
Proposals that pass the initial review will be forwarded to the Foundation’s Evaluation Committee. The committee will assess the proposal based on the outlined criteria: alignment with Foundation goals, member participation, impact, and feasibility. During this stage, the committee may request additional information or a presentation from the submitting member if further clarification is needed.
The Foundation Evaluation Committee will meet monthly (or as needed) to review proposals. Proposals will be discussed, and a decision will be made by a majority vote. Each proposal will either be:
- Approved: The initiative will receive full support from the Foundation, including financial or volunteer resources.
- Conditionally Approved: The proposal may require modifications before final approval (e.g., additional member involvement, changes in timeline, or funding adjustments).
- Deferred: Proposals that require significant changes or further information will be deferred until the next meeting.
- Rejected: Proposals that do not meet the Foundation’s criteria or align with its goals will be rejected. Members will receive feedback explaining the decision and may resubmit with modifications.
Members will be notified of the Foundation’s decision within two weeks of the committee meeting. Approved proposals will receive a confirmation letter outlining the level of support the Foundation will provide, including any financial contributions, resources, or volunteer coordination.
