Sullivan Beauty Purchasing Assistant/Junior Buyer description & application
Our team is growing at Sullivan Beauty and we are looking for a Junior Buyer.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for purchased items in accordance with the established policies and goals throughout the product lifecycle
- Write, confirm, track orders while ensuring timely delivery of all incoming orders both flow and promotional while following the budget guidelines for each brand/segment
- Follow-up with vendors as needed to confirm and update any orders as needed
- Accurately update internal databases as it relates to purchasing in regards to order/item details as needed (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts, discontinued items, item updates, pricing etc.)
- Research and analyze internal and external data to forecast upcoming promotional offerings from vendors to develop a solid promotional order while remaining with in purchasing budget limits
- Maintain the life cycle of products – reviewing new items and old to determine strategy to manage excess and obsolete inventory items while keeping the right levels for ongoing items to support the business needs
- Work with internal warehouse and finance staff as well as outside vendors as needed as it relates to products/pricing/damages/discrepancies in a timely manner
- Work within the purchasing/marketing department and other internal/external departments accordingly to assist with purchasing needs as well as with other needed projects
- Assist as needed with monthly mailers and bi monthly sales meetings
- Ability to work trade show and events as needed as it pertains to purchasing
Skills & Experience:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Great attention to detail is paramount
- Time management skills and ability to balance multiple projects while adhering to strict deadlines
- Good understanding of supply chain and purchasing procedures as well as willingness to learn and grow with Sullivan Beauty as our company evolves
- Previous purchasing/buying experience minimum 1-2 years-beauty industry experience a plus
- Experience with Microsoft/ERP systems experience & excel is key
