Jonathan House is a community of shelter, hope, and healing in Minneapolis/St Paul where forcibly displaced people and their American neighbors thrive together. We offer supportive housing, strategic connections, practical assistance, and a welcoming community with a desire to help our new friends recover from forced displacement and begin to rebuild their lives.
In the Bible, Jonathan helped his friend David "find strength in God" while he was a political refugee (1 Samuel 23: 16). At Jonathon House we want every forcibly displaced person to experience that they are seen, heard, and cared for by God. We do so through compassionate accompaniment, knowing that in relationship with our asylum seeking neighbors, we ourselves will be encouraged and transformed.
We value the involvement of volunteers who desire to join us in welcoming, befriending, and supporting our asylum seeking friends. The information provided through this form will be kept confidential and will help us determine the best volunteer opportunity for you and whether your interests and capacity are a good fit for our ministry's current needs.
