    DISCLAIMER: Special Events Permits 

    Special Events Permits will not be issued until ALL supporting documents are submitted, reviewed, & given authoritative approval. Supporting documents may include the following: 

    1. Certificate of Insurance (Required for all Applicants) 
    2. Detailed Site Map (i.e. requested location for fencing,   tent/canopy placement, etc) 
    3. Other Necessary & Applicable Permits (i.e. Mass Gathering Permit, Burn Permit, Temporary Food Service Permit, DABs Permit etc.) 
    4. Certificates/Licenses (i.e Temporary/Seasonal Business License, Special Events Sales Tax License, etc.)
    5. Fees/Deposits
    6. Plans (Traffic Control Plans, FAA Approved Flight Plan, Animal Health Hazards/Nuissances Plan, Parking Plan etc.)
    7. Additional Contracts (contractor for fencing, barricades, portable restrooms, Livestock sanction, etc.)

    Reservations at the West Jordan Arena include the following:

    *Main Arena, Practice Arena, Concession Stand, & Ticket Booth.

    *West Jordan Arena Reservations require a MINIMUM of 3 days to ensure there is enough time for set-up prior to the event and clean up following the event.*

    If YES, please note the following: Alcoholic beverages are only permitted at the Rodeo Arena, provided the user supplies the city of West Jordan with an approved alcohol permit from the Utah State Department of Alcohol and Beverage Services (DABS). 1. Alcoholic beverages are to be served and/or sold on private property, application must be made in advance to the Utah Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Contact them at 801-977-6800. 2. The applicant must use the City of West Jordan's contracted bartenders (i.e. 4 staff & 2 ID Verifiers) 3. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide a payment system, alcohol, ice, coolers, & wristbands for those participating in the consumption of alcohol.

It is your responsibility to get in contact with the Deputy Fire Marshal and verify that your canopies/tents set up is compliant with with fire code.     If the event is expected to have 300+ attendees, it is necessary to bring in portable restrooms from a contracted company. If YES, please note the following: Additional portable restrooms from an outside company may be requested by the city, based on need and attendance at the special event. If the estimated attendance is above 300, portable restrooms must be provided by the applicant. If portable restrooms are needed, the City of West Jordan requests the following information: 1. The contractor used for the portable restrooms 2. Number of restrooms needed (please refer to the table below estimating the number of portable restrooms needed based on attendance) 3. Date & time of delivery of the portable restrooms 4. Day & time of the pick-up of portable restrooms 5. Placement of the portable restrooms are already designated at the Rodeo Arena. Please refer to the table below as reference to know how many portable restrooms will be necessary.
