2025 QUT Future You Summit Student Application

The Future You Summit 2025 will focus on the theme of Future Frontiers, what will your future be, and how can QUT help you get there?

The Summit provides students with a taste of university life and studies with program streams emphasising degree pathways across all QUT study areas. Students will be treated like real QUT undergraduate students, with access to QUT's world class labs and facilities across both Brisbane campuses.

Program details
- Monday 30 June - Friday 4 July (for the regional students who are offered accommodation at Somerville House
- Tuesday 1 July - Friday 4 July (for all other students)

The selection panel will review all applications submitted and assess on:
- eligibility
- the quality of your written responses
- academic achievement
- teacher recommendation
- involvement in extra-curricular activities
- contributions to school and/or local community.
Before you start your application:
- Do you meet the eligibility requirements? If you are unsure if you meet the requirements or feel you have special considerations you would like the selection panel to know about, contact us for confidential support - highschool.engage@qut.edu.au
- Do you have a copy of your 2024 Semester 1 and 2 school reports (PDF file)?
- Have you asked a teacher, head of department or Principal for a recommendation? You will need their email address for this application (they will be sent a request to complete an online recommendation).

Tip: Highlight your involvement in activities outside the classroom from Year 9 onwards. Activities could include an academic extension program, school clubs, sports, a paid job, volunteering, competitions, student exchanges and more. Awards could include captaincies, scholarships, club or competition prizes.

On submission of your application your nominated teacher will receive an email requesting a recommendation. The teacher must then complete an online recommendation form. Please ensure you have provided their correct email address and confirm with them that they have received the email. Applications received without teacher recommendations will not be accepted.
