  • SANCTIONS

    1. Club allegedly playing an ineligible, suspended or unregistered player

The reported Club may be suspended from any Competition until such time that it satisfies the Disciplinary Committee that it had not in fact fielded an ineligible, suspended or unregistered player.

The onus of proof shall be on the reported Club to identify to the Disciplinary Committee the actual identity of the player who did take part in that game and the name and identity they played under on the team sheet.

The Disciplinary Committee shall then decide whether the reported Club shall or shall not remain suspended for what period of time and whether or not any other penalties shall be applied in accordance with the rules of competition.

Refer to provisions in League Championship Rules Section 10 & Disciplinary Rules Section 7.

    2. Making a false statement

If either the Player and/or the Club make false claims about the Player’s eligibility, then either or both shall be charged with additional offences under the Disciplinary Rules.

    3. Club making a frivolous, unfounded or malicious allegation.

Where a club is found by the Disciplinary Committee to have falsely lodged a “Suspected Ineligible Player Violation” or complaint without proper reason, frivolously or in a dishonest attempt to embarrass or to victimise the other club involved, then the club lodging that complaint shall be suspended forthwith for a minimum of two (2) matches, including as the case may be both championship and cup matches and/or shall incur such other penalty as may be decided by the Disciplinary Committee.
