Jake's Playground Community Engagement
Jake’s Law, passed in 2018, encourages New Jersey counties to build inclusive playgrounds that are designed with standards that generally exceed those required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and result in accommodating people with disabilities to the greatest degree feasible. In 2022, the Department of Community Affairs adopted regulations for Jake’s Law that set out the standards for Completely Inclusive Playgrounds. Please participate in this survey for input on the City's upcoming application. The City intends on applying for improvements to the playground located on Garden Court East which will include ADA compliant features and a rubberized surface.
