Location:

This outdoor event takes place at the City Maintenance Yard at 336 Sanjon Rd. in Ventura. Please enter from Sanjon Road.

What to bring:

All waste types except for Household Hazardous Waste*.

Government I.D. or utility bill: Attendees will be required to show proof of City of Ventura residency.
*Electronics are accepted, however, you can also save time and event space by dropping off unlimited quantities for free 6 days a week at Gold Coast Recycling. Learn more here.

What not to bring:

Household Hazardous Waste such as: Batteries (Automotive and Household), Compressed Gas/Propane Tanks, Cosmetics (Nail Polishes, Removers, Etc.), Fire Extinguishers, Fluorescent, Tubes and Light Bulbs (CFLs), Paints, Pesticides and Fertilizers, Pool Supplies, Smoke Detectors, Thinners and Lacquer, Used Oil Filters, Used or Contaminated Motor Oil and Gasoline

Select 1 time slot for junk dropoff.
Junk Dropoff Bins are organized by material type: Yard Waste, Electronics, Metal, Trash, and Bulky Items. Separating ahead of time is not required, but you may find it useful to organize your materials by these categories. Staff will be available onsite to assist you with separating.
This registration is for onsite document shredding services ONLY. We cannot accommodate additional waste types under this registration type. If you need additional junk dropoff services, please change your dropoff type above and select a registration slot, or, if no slots are available, email us at sustainability@cityofventura.ca.gov to be added to the waitlist. Attendees may bring up to 2 banker file boxes for onsite shredding, while space is available.

By registering for this event, I acknowledge and agree that:
1. I may not participate in the event if:
  - I have experienced a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or greater or any other symptoms of COVID-19, listed at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html; or
  - I have been exposed, or have a member of my household that was exposed, to COVID-19 within the 14 days before the event.
2. The City of Ventura, due to the COVID-19 virus, is conducting this event under a plan designed to meet the requirements and recommendations of state agencies, health advisors, and other responsible bodies to facilitate a safe environment.
3. Despite reasonable care and steps by the City, COVID-19 presents serious challenges to prevention and control, and the risk of infection from COVID-19 virus cannot be eliminated at this time; as a result, I, and members of my group, may be exposed.
4. Despite all of the above, I freely and voluntarily sign this Event Release and Waiver form, by checking the box below, and hereby release and hold the City and its governing board, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers harmless for any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liability, damages, expenses, exposure to COVID-19, or loss of any sort, including, but not limited to, bodily injury or death, because of or arising out of my participation in the event.
5. The City may use my likeness, filmed or photographed during the City event, to promote its services and programs.
