Thanks for your interest in pursuing Ministerial Credentials with the Assemblies of God.
Please understand that receiving credentials is a process that is not done overnight. Our credential team will work with you through the process to help in any way we can.
The following items are listed below:
1. Credential Preliminary Application. All questions must be answered.
2. Condensed Statement of Faith. All statements must be initialed.
Once your submission is received, our office will be in contact with you.
If you or your spouse have a former companion still living, please fill out the Divorce Preliminary Application. You will receive the Divorce application packet first.
Here is information you need to know before you return the forms:
- These forms are not the official application packet. That packet will be sent to you once you submit these forms.
- There are 3 levels of credentials: Certified Minister, License, and Ordination. Most applicants will need to start at the Certified Level. There are exceptions if you are a Bible college graduate or have ministerial credentials with another organization.
- A background check and credit check are part of the required process. If you have past due bills, we strongly recommend that you start working with your creditors now on payment plans before you send the official application packet back to our office. Failure to do so will slow down the process in regard to pursuing credentials.
- You need to be attending an Assemblies of God church and active in ministry.
- You must be paying your tithe to the local church. You will need to provide a documented record of that giving for 2 years when you submit the official application.
- The Arkansas District requires that both the applicant and spouse be baptized in the Holy Spirit before the applicant is approved for credentials.
