OPELOCD Apprenticeship Program Terms and Policies: Masterclass
1. Introduction
Welcome to the OPELOCD Apprenticeship Program! This program is designed to educate and empower teens in the care and maintenance of Locs, celebrating the beauty and artistic significance of black culture.
2. Eligibility
• Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 19.
• A parent or guardian must provide consent for participation.
3. Application Process
• Complete the online application form.
• Submit a video of your work you've done on application above.
4. Program Commitment
• Participants must attend all scheduled sessions. In person and Virtual! 1-2 a week
• Punctuality and active participation are required.
5. Code of Conduct
• Respect all participants and instructors.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
• No harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior will be tolerated.
6. Safety and Health
• Participants must disclose any allergies or skin sensitivities.
• All products and tools used in the program will be approved and safe.
7. Parental Involvement
• Parents/guardians are NOT allowed to attend informational sessions.

8. Liability Waiver
• Participants and their parents/guardians must sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks associated with hair care practices.
9. Media Release
• Participants may be photographed or filmed during the program. A media release form must be signed to grant permission for the use of images in promotional materials.
10. Termination Policy
• The program reserves the right to terminate a participant’s involvement for violation of policies or conduct issues.
11. Amendments
• The program may update these terms and policies as necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
