Transition types explained:
Property Transfer Request (PTR): The account is currently with another DIRECTV dealer and the initial agreement term has ended. A PTR will NOT generate a new account number, and the customer will not be eligible for any "new account" promotions (for example the "3 Months on us" offer).
You cannot submit a PTR request if the account is currently in contract.
Change of Ownership (COO): The account is currently with another DIRECTV dealer but the customer recently purchased the facility. A COO will create a new account allowing the customer to subscribe to all new account offers and promotions. You will need a bill of sale proving the facility was purchased by the customer within 90 days of the account submission.
You can submit a COO even if the facility is still in contract.
