Property Transfer Request (PTR):
Property Transfer Request (PTR):
The account is currently with another DIRECTV dealer and the initial agreement term has ended. A PTR will not generate a new account number, and the customer will not be eligible for any “new account” promotions (for example, the “3 Months on Us” offer).
You cannot submit a PTR request if the account is currently in contract.
Change of Ownership (COO):
The account is currently with another DIRECTV dealer, but the customer recently purchased the facility. A COO will create a new account, allowing the customer to subscribe to all new account offers and promotions. You will need a bill of sale proving the facility was purchased by the customer within 90 days of the account submission.
You can submit a COO even if the facility is still in contract.
Change of Ownership Pending Closing (COO-PC):
The property is under a DIRECTV contract, and a change of ownership is planned but the closing has not yet occurred. This option should be selected when the customer is in the process of purchasing the facility and the closing date is scheduled for a future time.
Once the sale is finalized, the account will proceed under the standard COO process and can then qualify for applicable new account offers and promotions.
