Electrical Disclaimer
A standard disconnect and reconnect of an existing compliant appliance (same system type, same connection type and equal or lower load) can be completed by a Restricted Electrical Licence holder with this work included as standard in any installation. Where the connection type changes, the load increases, the circuit is non-compliant, or additional electrical works are required (e.g. new circuit, RCBO upgrade, tariff change), a fully licensed electrician is required.
JR Gas & Water can coordinate works through our preferred licensed electrician to ensure compliance, streamlined scheduling, and accountability across the entire installation.
Why Use a JR Preferred Electrician?
Where electrical works are required beyond a standard restricted disconnect/reconnect, we recommend using our preferred licensed electrician for the following reasons:
• Single Point of Contact – JR Gas & Water manages the entire process, so you’re not coordinating multiple trades.
• Streamlined Scheduling – Plumbing and electrical works are aligned to avoid delays or return visits.
• Compliance Assurance – Our electrician understands our installation standards, load requirements, and system specifications.
• Reduced Risk of Faults – Proper circuit sizing, protection (RCBO where required), and correct connection type are ensured from the outset.
• Accountability – One company oversees the complete installation, simplifying warranty and fault resolution.
• Faster Issue Resolution – If any commissioning or performance issues arise, we manage it internally without finger-pointing between trades.
• Known Pricing Structure – Transparent upgrade pricing avoids unexpected costs after installation day.
